I've done that, it does work, but keep in mind that saw was designed to do wood. Metal fillings do not do good in the motor. I'd use an abrasive wheel. With this you'll need to re- adjust the depth because the wheel will get smaller with each pass. Don't try to do it in one pass either. As far as stacking them it might work, try it on a piece of scrap first. Good Idea to wear ear plugs and a mask and don't forget the safty glasses.
