    Hello Harvey, I am curious about the Household Cavalry sword with thin thrusting blade you have on ebay. The guard has the solid finnial so it may be an earlier pattern than 1892 and the guard has HC in scroll in the guard. Does it have any markings on the blade and guard? I know the HC were ordered to keep their swords as new patterns came about. Could this be made up for an officer or were they modified to have the same characteristics as the 1908p? From the photos I cannot see any regimental markings on the guard. Regards, Will.
