    Possible Wootz Catch

    hello guys,

i found this blade at an antique shop, there is pattern on the blade that might be wootz but am not an expert, can someone confirm?

i hope these pictures are clear enough.

the cartouche on it have a date (1190 hejri which means if its authentic, it would be 250 year old) there is also writings in the upper cartouch (Ra'ad a'ala) not sure if its a maker's name or something else.. it means higher thunder in arabic.

    yours,

...to some of the mechanical damascus/aka patternwelded swords in On Damascus Steel by Figiel. Definitely patternwelded and I would say pool and eye patterning rather than twist, myself.

    thank you very much, gentlemen.

can you offer me advice on this blade worth? its owner is selling it for almost 1500$ so am taking cautious steps.
