Blacksmith made, possible Am. Civil War? Any ideas?

There is a tag signifying the number "62" on this sword (picture #1). I have nothing to go on in identifying this swords origin, and the [X] mark on the top of the blade (picture #2) is the only intentional mark found anywhere on the weapon. The handle is wood, wrapped around iron (picture #4). Any help with this would be helpful. Thanks

My first thought was Phillipine or even possibly Colonial Spanish. Photos aren't as helpful as they could be
Try and get some outside in daylight but not direct sun.

The tag could be an old inventry tag or similar.

Thank you Gene. I have taken some additional photos and posted them. Perhaps this can help.
