    Unusual Moro Budiak

    Hello Gents,

Just acquired this Budiak. Overall length is respectable 92 inches. I'm a little stumped by the 'butt' end, which seems to be a little unusual for this type. Any thoughts??

    Thanks!

    Hi Mark,

I really like these Moro (and Lumad, Bagobo) spear blades. They have really nice flowing lines.

I wasn't aware of these spears ever having butt spikes. They usually terminate with the brass cap. Is the spike well secured in the shaft? How is it held?

    Cheers!

I'd say it's very well secured. The broken portion of the brass termination allows clear observation of the mortised construction.
