    Shinsakuto maintenance?

I'm curious, what are people using for wiping their blades down? I have several packs of Nuguigami but at $10 a pack it's not cheap and it can be hard to find at times. The new blade I recently picked up is in full polish so I want to be really careful with it but it suggests removing the old oil and applying new oil every 10 days for the first 6 months. In the past I used old cotton tee shirt patches so I may go back to this or perhaps try microfiber cloths.
Also as an aside since the blade is in full polish I'm not using Uchiko.

Just to be safe even on custom pieces. Unscented plain non-moisturized Kleenex Tissue paper to remove old oil. It's soft enough not to do anything to the polish. Cheaper and easier to get than nuguigami.

And instead of Uchiko I tend to use Windex to break down and remove old oil.

Cool thanks for the suggestions, I have used kleenex before but was unsure if it was advisable or not.
