I have recently acquired this dagger and have been trying to work out where it comes from.

So far, I have identified it as pre-WW1 Russian M-1907 "Bebut" Kindjal which saw service with artillery crews, machine gun crews and cavalry scouts from 1907-1917.

However, where most Bebuts were produced by Zlatoust factory, this Bebut has the bow and arrow Izhevsk marking (more known for Mosin-Nagant).

Can anyone enrich the above with details to the history of Bebuts in general, and perhaps the Izhevsk variant in particular?

Cheers,

Thomas
