Hi Everyone,

This is just a quick introduction and notice about my website: http://www.tsubaotaku.com/. The website contains a fair bit of information about the small metal fittings of the Japanese sword (Nihontō 日本刀). As a somewhat formal introduction here is a brief autobiography about myself from my website.

Hello my name is David Stiles. I have been studying Japanese sword (nihontō 日本刀) and the small metal fittings of Japanese swords (tōsogu 刀装具) since 2001 and have been actively collecting them since 2006. I am a member of the American branch of the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (NBTHK) since 2007 and the Japanese Sword Society of United States (JSSUS) since 2012. The focus of my collection are Japanese sword fittings of Owari Province (尾張國) and Higo Province (肥後國). I am also interested in collecting nihonto and tosogu with deep cultural designs.
I am also a 12+ year active member of a local Japanese sword study group that is affiliated with the JSSUS (http://www.jssus.org/). On website I show a portion of my collection with multiple photographs and a detail write up about each piece. The website also contains photographs from my many vacations and visits to Japan over the passed decade. Enjoy let me know if you have any questions by replying to this topic or contacting me via my website.
