    No other markings or poinçons.

    Is this an An IV Sabre de Hussard?
    Or an An IX Sabre de Hussard as there is neither "Republique Française" inscription nor a "KLINGENTHAL" marque on the blade?

    Lhoste and Resek in Les Sabres point to this type as an An IV (page 88). The B sure looks like a Boutet poincon, and Lhoste says a JC stamp is for Jean Casamajou, but there's no specific description of his role. I'll check a couple of other sources later.
