    Need help to id sword

    Hi everyone.
Recently I got the sword wich origin is riddle for me. I think it was shorted. Total length is 79 cm, blade is 65 cm. Maybe someone will help me determine the time and place of origin of this sword.

This is German (state of Baden) 18th century, I think cavalry shortened and parts of the guard removed. Nice anyway

When I see such a stout sword, I wonder if the knuckle guard was lost to damage or removed for some reason. With silver hilts and lighter brass hilts the loss to damage must have been common, but with these heavier swords, I wonder.
