1050 Mono Steel Katana by Anthony DiCristofano

    Hi there,

I have a 1050 Katana made by Anthony DiCristofano and mounted/polished by Brandon Thell. The sword has just been completed by Brandon and is up for sale now.

As far as I know that Anthony doesnít work on mono steel blades any more and Brandon doesnít take polishing commissions from public any more. It will make this kind of swords very hard to get now.

Here are some specs for the blade:

    Blade length: 29 inches
    Motohaba: 33.5 mm
    Sakihaba: 25.5 mm
    Motokasane: 6mm
    Sakikasane: 4.7 mm
    Tsuka: 10.5 inches
    Chu kissaki

I ordered the sword in July last year just before I started practicing Iaido. Itís 1 inch too short for me and there is no bo-hi. Itís not good for my kata practice. However Iíll use it for test cuttings if it doesnít sell here. Please feel free to contact me with additional questions or details at jashsin@optusnet.com.au.

The pictures are too big to be attached here. I don't know how to do load them here. Drop me an e-mail if you require photos from me or visit Brandon's web site

    http://www.togishistudio.com

It's the NEW 1050 Katana by Anthony DiCristofano advertising on his web site.

The asking price is $6200; which includes shipping worldwide and PayPal fees.

    Sincerely

    Hsin

Hey there. Just a quick question. Is the koshirae of your sword blue or brown?

    brown

www.togishistudio.com says that the first half of the saya is wrapped in same and lacquered black. The second half is a brown textured finish w/ a few black gloss dragonfly

The sword is based on one colour "black" only, except the same which is white in colour.

    Thanks!

OK, I just asked because on your site some pictures show it brown, others blue. Probably just some white balance issue.

bump to the top. According to his website, Anthony is no longer taking orders for his monosteel blades. This could be a great chance to get a completed DiCristofano 1050 katana
