Named Bavarian M1889 Infantry Officer's sword

    Hello,

This sword is a dress model with 3/4 inch blade width at guard. It has a makers mark of C and K co. with crossed sabers under crown

Grip is pretty nice, wire all present and no cracks

Scabbard has 100% black finish present covered with tiny rust speckles. I think this may be an anodized scabbard and not a painted one

Post 1910 1 ring pattern scabbard.

Blade still fits snugly in scabbard and is decent with only a bit of rust at tip and a few scuffs and scratches. Last 3 /4 of blade past presentation panel and tip have been sharpened. Panel is frosted and reads GEWID U LUETN LORECK---which translates to Presented to Second Leutenant Loreck.
Most likely this was presented to him upon his promotion.
Sword is 37 inches overall with a 32 inch blade.
Asking only $395 + $19 shipping within the USA.
