    French M1816 Non-comissioned Officer's Sword

    This is the exact sword pattern that was copied by the US Army for their M1840 NCO Sword.
    Made by the Klingenthal Coulaux Cie, ca.1830-1850. Blade is stamped at the ricasso with 2 government marks, and engraved on the back. All marks are very clear.
    Blade is of very good quality, and the back is flat from the ricasso to approximately the middle. Then the blade becomes rounded. There is a false edge of about 25 cm.

    CONDITION:Nice patina on the brass hilt. Blade is also nicely patinated, with minimal shallow pinpoint pitting towards the tip. No scabbard.

    This sword dates to the time period covering the July Monrarchy, Revolution of 1848 and the Crimean War.

    =====================================

    Sword is guaranteed to be as described. If condition of the sword is incorrectly described by me, a full refund sans the shipping costs will be issued to the purchaser.

    PRICE: $395 including Priority Insured Mail in the 48 States. International postage - add $25.
