For Sale:british Pattern 1845 Naval Cutlass By R.mole

This British pattern of 1845 Naval Cutlass is in very good overall condition. Steel cup hilt has brown parina and remnants of the black paint. Number 2 is stamped on the knuckle guard near the lanyard slot. Ribbed cast iron grip retains most of its black paint. Blade is almost 29" long, indicating its original condition, and that it wasn't cut down in the 1880s, as many of these were. There's a faint letter R on the back of the blade, indicating that it was made by the famous R. MOLE company in Birmingham. The rest of the mark has worn off. Blade has small areas of shallow pitting, otherwise in very good condition.

    $450 + $15 S/H
