FS: 1854 pattern British infantry officer's sword, by Alex Coppell, Solingen

British 1854 pattern infantry officer's sword. This example is made by famous Solingen maker Alex Coppell, probably in the 1880's. The plain un-etched blade and bronze guard without royal insignia suggests it may have been made for militia or possibly non-British service, though it is essentially the British 1854 pattern infantry officer's pattern otherwise. The black horn grip, grip wires, bronze hilt and plain blade are all in good condition with nice patina. The scabbard is also present and in good condition. A nice sword and with a slightly different 'Germanic' feel and look compared to the normal English-made versions.
