    I suppose I wasn't clear. I agree completely about Kumdo. It is entirely and completely derived from Japanese Kendo, and any claims to the contrary are simply fallacious and the worst kind of revisionist propaganda.

In searching for a weapon to slay the evil Promethean beast, however, yours and another post seemed to attack the very idea of martial reconstruction. If the guy reconstructing martial ways in Finland is doing painstaking research, adheres to a strict regimine of training, and refrains from making rediculous claims, good on him I say. As an American Indian, I know a few Tribes who are trying to do the same thing after their martial ways were completely decimated by a change in climate, environment, and horrible poverty and oppression.
