Chris is not sarcastic. He is rude. Hence my disinterest in speaking with him. I did not leave myself open for anything; some things are simply not said. That is the way grown-ups behave. One may self-deprecate to one's heart's content; othe parties may not turn it against you. Period. I quote Cyrano: "For though I say such things lightly enough myself, *about* myself, I permit none else to utter them." So it is with us all. We are individually entitled to a certain leeway in discussing oursleves that does not extend to the rest of the world. I'm not over-reacting. I'm not even really angry, as opposed to being merelytired of this nonsense. I'm simply stating some simple rules of good manners, and quietly being amazed at how people can fail to grasp them. The vulgarand confrontational tone of the thread to this point is bad enough; actually DEFENDING such behavior in such a way as to actively fault those who object, is quite ridiculous.
