... I forgot, you're a Berliner, ain't chya. All snooty and overly cultured looking down your collective long pointy nose at your southern neighbors from Bavaria, even those of us who are 2nd generation U.S. citizens. Well let me tell you a little conversation I had with a gent named of Keith who went through the London bombings in '41 and more... K - "German, mmmm, what kind of German are ya?" JN - "My family came from Bavaria" K - "I ain’t askin' ya about what kind of Kraut ya are, what kind of German are ya?" JN - "Keith, why don't you just explain it to me in baby talk what ya want me to say and I'll regurge it right back at you." K - "Well Jim, there are two kinds of Germans, those that are at your throat and those at your feet. One is a damm German and the other is a g*ddamm German. So which are you?" JN - "Keith you're a f*cking as*hole. Best work on not falling off the roof or I'll be a g*ddamm lazy German." Don't know where I am going with that story, but I always chuckle at it. He is was a crusty old SOB who said he walked onto Gold in the first wave not worrying the least because "those damm Germans couldn't shoot straight anyway." I egged him on by telling him the English are nothing but a bunch of migratory Krauts anyway. So anyway, take your pointy Berliner nose and you Hun and your Boche for yourself, I'll be very happy being a southern HillBilly Kraut. Jim BTW - wink-wink-nudge-nudge BTWBTW - to keep this sword related, I recieved my Tinker Viking sword last week and had a pumpkin slaughter and cutting fest this past weekend. The sword is an incrediable cutter. If you're interested in hearing more let me know.
