    Linda.
I'm from the US but living in Saudi Arabia for the last 20 years. Daggers like that are sold in the local market place, mostly to visiting businessmen who want something "arabic" to take home. Most of these come from either Yemen or western Saudi Arabia. The blades are invariably junk and the fittings are made from whatever scrap metal the local smith can find. The bulk of the work is invariably on the fittings with the blade almost an afterthought. Serious knives they aint. Don't mean to slam your knife, but I don't think you have a good one there. One exception to that are some of the Yemeni ones made with handles of rhino horn. The blades are still junk but they can be quite valuable.

Regards.

Jack.
