  2. Making swords the Odin way

    Well my way anyway.

    Here are just a few methods I use and by no means the only ones to make swords.

    I start with a bar of say 1/4" thick 5160H steel and from it I cut the length, with a little spare, with a bandsaw using Bi-metal band saw blades cut and welded from a roll. If I'm going to add a fuller, I mark the beginning and end and mill the fuller about 75 thousands deep. After fuller is milled both sides, I draw the profile on the bar including tang shape. ...

  3. Odin beginings

    It was hard in the beginning for me to understand making swords. There were very few if any books or videos of sword making available except maybe tech journals, and I probably wouldn't have read em anyway as I was very headstrong. So very different nowdays, the information is everywhere. This forum for instance is bristling with questions and answers.
    I'd spent many years doing the full contact steel on steel sword fighting before attempting to make my own fighting swords, but breaking ...

  4. Limit on uploading pictures.

    1. There is currently a hard limit of 5 attachments per post/comment. These could be any of several files types but are mostly images or pictures.

    2. If you upload your images or pictures to your Album, found in your Profile page, there is no limit to how many you can reference in a post/comment. So if you need to deal with more than 5 images then I would encourage you to use your Album. Frankly I would encourage everyone to use your Album if at all possible because then you would ...

  5. How to upload pictures

    There are a few different ways to upload a picture or attach one to a thread post/comment.

    1. Users have access to a 'picture gallery' or 'album' through their profile.

    a. click on "My Profile"
    b. left hand side of the window will show an "Albums" section. Click on the name of the Album
    c. on the toolbar you will see 'Upload Pictures', click on that.
    d. click on 'Add Files'
    e. click on 'Select Files'
