Limit on uploading pictures.

Rate this Entry
1. There is currently a hard limit of 5 attachments per post/comment. These could be any of several files types but are mostly images or pictures.

2. If you upload your images or pictures to your Album, found in your Profile page, there is no limit to how many you can reference in a post/comment. So if you need to deal with more than 5 images then I would encourage you to use your Album. Frankly I would encourage everyone to use your Album if at all possible because then you would have more flexibility in accessing your images than if you simply upload them as attachments.

3. We have revised the thumbnail quality being generated by the SFI forum. Previously it was at 75% but now it has been upped to 95%. Over the coming weekend I will be re-processing uploaded images and regenerating the thumbnails at the higher level of quality.

Just another note to mention that the system will resize images uploaded from your computer drive. That means that even very large images will be manipulated to meet the 100kb file size. Transloaded images using image urls within the manage attachments page will still need to be 100kb or less.

zip doc pdf etc all will still to be 100kb or less
