- A few antique, some modern reproductions, and the "Sword that is Being Slowly Forged".
- Biography:
- Retired civil servant (National Park Service), part time blacksmith, and seasonal Viking ship captain. One of the founders of the Markland Medieval Mercenary Militia (1969) and the Longship Company, Ltd. Live w/ wife and youngest daughter on family farm in Southern Maryland.
- Location:
- Southern Maryland, for the last 350+ years; previously of the Danelaw.
- Interests:
- Medieval reenactment, blacksmithing, sailing Viking ships and modern vessels, history, writing, the usual mix...
- Occupation:
- Retired from National Park Service, leased space program manager.
- Favorite Swords:
- A rapier for later periods, and a broadsword for early medieval; but really, I prefer an axe!
- Swordsmanship Style Practiced:
- Some fencing in college (from whence came Markland), but mostly hack-and-slash.
