Sword Collection:

Japanese, Scottish, "ethnic", a little bit of this and that. I love my basket hilt by ElJay. I have an Armour Class basket hilt, too. I use an early Hanwei Shinto for budo. The rest antique.

Biography:

There is something about the sword that captivates me. The sword represents humanity to me. It is a universal symbol of power across nearly every culture. I find it exciting that we are living in a time where swordsmanship is being practiced again and we have real swordsmiths perfecting their craft!

Interests:

Swords for one! Daito-ryu aikijujutsu and Kashima Shinden Jikishinkage-ryu heiho are the two budo styles I study. I also enjoy Star Wars, Heraldry, comic books, and ukulele playing. I've recently developed an interest in lutherie.

Occupation:

Police officer. I work for a small college department.

Favorite Swords:

Anything hand made or antique. There is a weakness in my heart for Scottish basket hilts and Nihonto but any nice sword is always a pleasure.

Swordsmanship Style Practiced:

Kashima Shinden Jikishinkage-ryu heiho and a little basket hilted broadsword out of Angelo.
