    Hi Mr McMorrow
I am new to collecting swords and want purchase a Wilkinson George V sword in South Africa. Can you avise if it is genuine and not a fake.
Also if you could possibly elaborate on the History, I would be most grateful.

Mr McMorrow I have purchased a vintage sword that has a handle that is a hand carved lions head made of mohogany. I've been told it's over a hundred years old. The handle is over 7 inches long, the blade is an additional 23 inches. The blade has 2 letters stamped on it. The first letter is either a capital F, or R, the second letter is definitely a capital R. I would post a picture but don't know how to do it. Can you help me please?

    Dear Mark,
I am interested in joining your Wilkinson group if I may.
I am Martin Lewer-Allen, a Neurosurgeon in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have long yearned to be acquainted with such illustrious persona ex factory such as John Hart and Rob Lowe. I am well known to Robert W-L, and follow his words of wisdom avidly in the general threads in Swordforum International. He has passed on a mint of useful information to me in the past in my persuit of my subspecialty interests in the fields of mameluke and of acanthus scroll hilted variants, and other lines of concern with Wilkinsonia.
I've never been quite sure how to enter into the thread discussions, so I have been conspicuous by my silence, though in truth I am positioned more as a learner than a pronouncer of fact, especially with iconic cognoscenti at hand.
Anyway, I would be honoured if I could be considered for membership of the Wilkinson Interest Group.
    Kind regards
