    You are welcome, George. I am not sure how much help can I be on the subject you mentioned, because I am not familiar with U.S. antique market prices. But for Turkish antique market $3500 seems like a fair offer for a classical period genuine wootz kilij in good condition such as yours. But as you know these prices can vary from country to country. İn regards to appraisal issue you mentioned, I am afraid I don't know much about these issues.
