Hi all,
I have a Eickhorn Solingen sword Mameluke pattern for trade.The sword is in beautiful condition and is made around 1935/36 according to the trademarking.
Could be a special USMC order but...
I compared both Eickhorn logos and the one on T.Graham example is not the same.
Also the T.Graham example tends to be a USMC and mine not.
Other then The USA and the UK/Spain The Mameluke style...
No problem at all,
I found 2 other types here on the forum.
The second one is almost the same.While the first one is the same style but cleary inferior compared to the other 2

The Eickhorn logo with CE is used from 1933-34.
Did Eickhorn used the logo on my sword postwar, i always tought it was a totall other design after 1945

Here are some better images. The Eickhorn logo seems to be used till 1935. But the blade could be rehilted or whole sword could be build after that period...

The grip is missing a roset so that wil be a good area to test it with a needle.
Today 22-01-2019 i did the needle test but the material seems to be untouched.
Could anybody identify the material used on the grip.
Ivory or plastic?

Just give it a small treatment today and there is still a portion of what i think original olive drab paint.It should be cleaned up well after a few times.
