I’ve checked the ones surrounding it and none were close to the description, so shame. Haven’t yet looked through all those lists yet but will give it a go.
Having checked the numbers around this and this sword there is no name on the proof record. So it’ll be not a definite on the owner but it looks to me that Yates is the best candidate.

Been a while since I looked at the proof page, but I am sure it was a heavy cavalry, that is interesting I’ll have a look at some yeomary lists, for JEM.
Interesting, does look like an EM for the initials. Yeah the sword is just the standard pattern without any other specific etching on the blade.
