Welcome to the Modern Scottish Martial Art Practice section of the Scottish Fighting Traditions forum. This section is the place to post information or discussions relating directly to modern day training in the Scottish Martial Arts.

Please have a look at the layout of this section and ensure you read the stickied posts before making your post here, as you may find it already has a ready made home where it can be with others of it's kind.

Please be aware that the Scottish Martial Traditions are not as heavily sourced as traditions such as the German or the Italian. If the idea of having to experiment or intepret from limited sources with the purpose of recreating a primarily battlefield art bothers or offends you then you are probably not going to like this forum. If however the idea of this excites you then please carry on and learn more about this exciting and relatively new aspect of study in the Historical European Martial Arts.

Please do not post whole essays or excessively long posts in this part of the forum, the correct procedure for posting longer works is to summarise the piece and then provide a link for users to download the file (.pdf or .doc format only please). If you have no where to host the file feel free to contact me via PM and I will host it on your behalf.
