For sale: matching set of tsuba, fuchi & kashira by Patrick Hastings

For sale I have a katana-sized set of tsuba, fuchi & kashira made by the renowned Patrick Hastings (www.taganearts.com) back in 2006-2007. They were originally commissioned for a project that fell through, so have never been mounted or used, and it’s time to let someone else enjoy them, whether to admire or use.

All three pieces are made of copper with a pleasing ‘dappled’ finish and dark patination. The tsuba has an incised pattern of clouds/rivers/mountains on both sides and has Patrick’s mei. Approximate dimensions are as follows:

Tsuba:
Height: 78mm / 3.1 inches
Width: 75mm / 3.0 inches
Depth: 04mm / 0.2 inches
Nakago-ana: 26mm / 1.0 inch

Fuchi (internal):
Height: 36mm / 1.4 inches
Width: 18mm / 0.7 inches

Kashira (internal):
Height: 33mm / 1.3 inches
Width: 15mm / 0.6 inches

Given the rarity and quality of Patrick’s work, I’m asking £600 (roughly US$980 or €728) or very nearest offer plus the cost of insured shipping. I’d prefer payment via PayPal and will pay the charges.
