    André Desbordes 1610

Complementing the recent publication of Francois Dancie's 'The Sword of Combat', I’m very pleased to announce the publication of

'Discourse of the Theory and Practice of the Excellence of Arms' by André Desbordes (1610)

Desbordes was a fascinating character, a social climber who eventually fell foul of political intrigue and was executed on charges of witchcraft. His brief treatise covers the single sword, sword and dagger, sword and cape and a brief mention of dagger.

It can be downloaded from here

I must thank Olivier Dupuis for his historical forward and excellent editing skills.
