FS: Custom Hanwei Oni L6

Hi there,

Putting this out there to see if there's any interest in this. I'm in need of funds for future projects so this kind of has to go, I'm not in a hurry though!

This is a modified Hanwei Oni L6 katana. The tsuka has been shortened to a total of 30 cm (incl. fuchi, kashira), a new full wrap of samegawa #1 from Namikawa Heibei has been added, new bamboo mekugi and the tsuka has been re wrapped using hishigami in silver/blue silk ito from Fred Lohman.

The katana has been used to cut tatami on one occasion and therefor has some very faint scratches on the blade. I tried to take some pictures of them, but it's kinda hard. Other than that, it is like new! It cuts tatami like a lightsaber!

The sageo in the pictures is not included, unfortunately.
