    curious kukri

    Hi, I was browsing ebay and found this kukri if that is what it is. It is small: just curious what is it
    7.75 over all length
    4.25 blade length

    Looks like a karda, the small side-knife accompanying a kukri. A large one - compare with the larger one in the assorted karda photo at http://www.himalayan-imports.com/Carry.htm

    Indeed! Although it looks like a Karda & could be used as such, there actualy quite well made tiny kukris marketed in the shops & bazaars of India around the end of ww2 for the then tourists, {allied soldiers.} to buy. There come in horn ,ivory & bone.
