    The only marking is A M S at the fort.
    Sword in the UK.

    Im able to see the attacthed image. But should just say usn on sword with a closed basket hilt guard. Normally wood or black grips

    Thanks for the info. Following the link and links within the link, what I offered you would appear to be the US M1940/1 variant on account of the bakelite grips.
