    East India Co. Officer's sword

For your consideration, a Pat.1822 EIC officer's sword in exceptional condition. This is a "Reeves" marked sword in incredible shape for it's age. I've seen several Pat. 1822's and EIC swords, but not one in this condition. The grip is complete and nice and tight. The blade is beautiful with no corrosion other than normal patina and some traces of the blue and the gold wash in the engraving still remain. It bears the "VR"cypher so it's a pretty sure bet that it dates between 1837-1845. The only down sides are the fact that it has no scabbard and the guard had been been deformed and crushed, most of which I've put back to rights. I'm asking $400.00 (CDN) + shipping, factoring in the negatives. You'd have to be dead lucky to find another one in this condition. Thank you for looking.
