I would say early 19th Solingen product and a very attractive piece. I would agree court sword or for a Dandy. Eric

Tony I am afraid court swords are out of my intelligence level but the castle on ricasso and etching appear early 19th. A very pretty piece and serviceable as a weapon, but I cannot say it's intended use. I recently picked up a US diplomat sword but it is the only one I own or have ever handled.

Looks like Christobol Colon on that one (Columbus)? Could be a fraternal society.
