I came across a nice pdf file that includes the old 1980 Man at Arms article by James Hamilton

The bonus additions following the article include some lists and paper I had not seen before.

I was revisiting a search for the extant brass eagle pommel bowies and I see a couple I need to add to the archives. I'm not quite sure how I had gone quickly from 1849 Ames rifleman's knives then a $700 Dahlgren but knives seems to be where I'm at this season.
