    TR unusual Klaas sword...

I acquired this Robert Klaas sword from a good friend of mine who’s in the process of decluttering his collection. I’ve never observed a 3rd Reich era sword with grips wired diagonally. Has any one else encountered a sword by Klaas or any other maker with this style grip?

    Len,

This is a very nice example of an unknown catalog number Robert Klaas Army Officer sword. It is a very desirable art deco style sword with a flat P guard and the angled wire wrap on the grip. I see it also has the correct Officer Portepee in the correct tie. See Angolia, "Swords of Germany 1900/1945" pp. 104-105.

    Congratulations!
