    Possible Russian court sword?

Good day all! Can anyone identify this item? It's supposed to have been in the owner's family for many generations. Name: 277527150_10225041379053469_3370416644782804607_n-1.jpg

"Supposed"! Buy the sword, not the story.

Yes it looks like a Chinese fantasy piece to me too. I'm trying to get something firm to base that on though, so far no one I've spoken to has seen anything like it, real or fake.

The age of the sword is convincing and add the good details and blade shape I'm inclined to say it's authentic.

Find if the thing between the eagle paws and at the middle of the grip is a monogramm (cyrilic) of some sort.
