    Boer War Theatre Painted Cavalry Swords

    Just come across this interesting image of Troopers painting their 1885/90p’s in the field, I’ve seen plenty of 1908p’s (original green or not!) and the occasional leather covered scabbard on an 1899p, but does anyone have one of these Boer War examples?

    I have an 1899p with leather scabbard with wooden core. The steel mouth has some sort of amber coloured material that protects the blade edge.
