Red face "Bad sword day" - lol

Ever have one of those days where practically everything goes wrong with you and your blades?

First, I held one of my kats upsidedown by the saya (what exactly was I thinking?) The katana slid out, and hit me right in the instep of my foot. At least I had enough sense NOT to grab the blade! Ow, ow, ow!

Then, I had a cutting session - and did terrible with the European blade. Knocked jugs all over the place. Did a lot better with the kat, which made me feel a bit better.

Afterwards, I sat down to clean my blades - and cut myself, not once, but TWICE. I'm now sporting bandages on my right thumb and index finger.

Despite my multiple "injuries", it still has been a pretty good day...heheh.

    Be careful dropping "K"ats.

At least this one didn't 'right' itself before hitting the ground and your foot!

    That would have hurt!

Was this your new kat that got dropped???!! ;-)

    You dropped my precious Bushido?!

Give it back! And I'm keeping your money!

Yes...I'm embarrassed to say it was the new kat. I guess I was a *little* too excited...

LOL, no I didn't drop the Bushido. It was...gulp...a Bugei Crane. And to think I was more concerned about the sword than my foot!

Sometimes I get excited like that. One time I heat treating a Kat and was lookin at it and it somehow spun outa my hand and before it could the ground I caught it. All in the reflex's! Only it was very sharp and I ended up in the hospital.

    LOL!

I'm not laughing at you...I'm laughing WITH you....

    That's over a $1000 bruised foot, there!

    Seriously...I'm glad you're okay!
