Thread: Buyer's Guide to fake French cuirassier swords

Repro Russian cuirassiers M1826 - ANXI

Repro Russian cuirassiers M1826 - derived from the French model of ANXI ((1802-3).
I bought this one on military market for the price of repro and I thought that the blade can be the original - NOT.
This sword is found on internet auction sites too.
Year 1839 is repro. Inscription is in modern russian alphabet, not great letters using in old Zlatoust fabric.
Beware on markings on the blade!

I believe somebody is trying to sell a 1826 russian cuirassier repro as a Spanish cavalry saber at Catawiki.
