    Chippies actually compete as to who was the first to come up with the idea but definitely a Scottish invention.

    Deep fried Jaffa Cakes are better though, with M+Ms a close second.

    The deepfried mars bar (what would be a Milky Way in the US I think) seems to have been a bit of a tourist thing, but deep fried pizza can be found on chippy menus even off the beaten track. Still haven't tried either!

    They sell them, deep fried candy bars, at our State Fair. I am partial to a deep fried Three Musketeers. Those are so good.
