    Sword Fittings?

Anyone know a good place to find antique or artisan fittings? I want to stay away from production stuff.

I'm looking to start collecting by theme .
I'm particularly looking for shakudo kashira, fuuchi, menuki, and tsuba.

There are a number of on-line sources for fittings... Aoi-Art, Ricecracker, Yakiba, etc.

Sometimes, very good deals can be found right here on SFI.

Actually, I've been wondering that myself.
I'd like to buy some nice non-production fittings which are not antiques.
Besides Hastings, it seems pretty hard to find.

I was looking at some nice antique stuff on nihonto.au the other day, it's worth a browse.

Click on the commercial tabs at this link http://www.nihontomessageboard.com/links.html and there are worldwide sites that deal in quality fittings etc. John

I've never done business with these people, but they seem very knowledgeable and conscientious, and even if you don't, there is a lot of good reading there. Don't overlook that the cartoons on the company profile page are links.
