Interesting Hunting Sword - Silver fittings - Identification needed - Late 1700s ?

    Hi all,

I have this quite interesting hunting sword with Silver fittings and a "Fish with a crown" on each side of the handle.
To me it seems to be a late 1700s hunting sword - but i can't find out the origin of the sword.

Could the grip be ivory?? …. or just come kind of bone?

… and does anyone know the "Fish with crown" symbol?

    Thanks.

    Very nice!

Could the fish be French for the dauphin?

    Best,
